“Dear children Rejoice with me because the Most High permits me to be with you, to lead you to Him Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Rejoice, little children, and be joyful also in difficulties and you will have the strength, because you will be aware that you are transient and you will know to offer everything to God. That is why, do not forget: I am your Mother and I love you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

"Dear children! Rejoice with me..."
Our Lady does not call for superficial joy or for forgetting the crosses of life. She calls us to the joy that comes from knowing that God is with us. Joy is the fruit of faith, not the absence of difficulties.
"...that I may lead you to Him, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life."
With these words, Our Lady directs all attention to Christ. She never keeps people on herself, but leads them to Jesus. In the words "The Way, the Truth and the Life" echo Christ's words from the Gospel of John. In a world full of uncertainty, confusion and division, Jesus remains the only sure way to the Father.
"Be joyful even in difficulties..."
This is a challenge to every believer. No one is spared crosses, illnesses, injustices or losses. But when a person knows that God is guiding his life, then even the cross takes on meaning. Christian joy does not disappear in the face of suffering; it is purified in it.
“…you will have strength, because you will be aware that you are transient…”
These words remind us that our life on earth is not the final goal. Everything passes: successes, failures, wealth, fame and trials. Only love for God remains forever. When we live with this awareness, we accept what affects us more easily and become less attached to transient things.
“…you will know how to present everything to God.”
This is one of the greatest spiritual secrets. We can present not only joys but also sufferings, fatigue, illnesses, worries about family, failures and disappointments to God. Nothing is lost when it is entrusted to His hands. Thus, our everyday life also becomes a prayer.
Finally, Our Lady reveals her maternal heart once again:
“I am your mother and I love you.”
These are not just beautiful words. They are a call to live without fear. The Mother accompanies us, intercedes for us, and leads us to Christ. She does not leave us alone on the path of conversion.
May this message become the program of our lives:
• to rejoice in the Lord,
• to follow Jesus as the only Way,
• to accept crosses with faith,
• to present everything to God,
• and to live in the certainty that our Heavenly Mother loves us.
Prayer
Mary, our Mother, thank you for leading us to your Son. Teach us to rejoice even when it is difficult. Give us a heart that believes, that is not afraid of the transience of this world, and that entrusts everything to God. Help us to walk every day on the path of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.

DECREE
THE APOSTOLIC PENITENTIARY, with the purpose of increasing the piety of the faithful and the salvation of souls, by virtue of the faculties bestowed upon him in a most special way by our Most Holy Father in Christ Our Lord, POPE FRANCIS, BY DIVINE PROVIDENCE, attentively considering the recent petitions presented by His Excellency ALDO CAVALLI, Titular Archbishop of Vibo, Apostolic Visitor for the Parish of Saint James the Apostle in Medjugorje, of the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, graciously grants a PLENARY INDULGENCE from the treasury of the Church's heavenly mercy, under the usual conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff), to the faithful who are truly penitent and moved by charity, which they can obtain throughout the Ordinary JUBILEE YEAR OF 2025, and which they can also use as a prayer for the souls of the faithful in purgatory if they make a pilgrimage to the PARISH CHURCH OF ST. JAMES THE APOSTLE IN MEDJUGORJE and devoutly participate in the Jubilee rites there or at least dedicate appropriate time to pious prayers, including the Lord's Prayer, the Creed and the invocations of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The elderly, the infirm, and all those who for serious reasons cannot leave their homes, can likewise obtain the Plenary Indulgence, having conceived the intention of detachment from any sin and with the intention of fulfilling, as soon as they are able, the three usual conditions, if they spiritually unite themselves to the jubilee celebrations, offering their prayers, sufferings, or the inconveniences of their own lives to the merciful God.
Therefore, to facilitate access to divine forgiveness through the keys of the Church out of pastoral charity, this Penitentiary earnestly requests that priests endowed with appropriate faculties to hear confessions make themselves available with a prompt, generous, and merciful spirit for the celebration of Penance.
This decree is valid throughout the Ordinary Jubilee Year of 2025. No contrary provisions shall hinder its execution.
Given in Rome, at the Apostolic Penitentiary, on the 24th day of December, in the year of the Incarnation of the Lord 2024.
